Opening hours
Our facility is open at all times.
Use of lighting
Lights in indoor areas and the outdoor arena must be turned off when these spaces are not in use. Anyone using these spaces is responsible for ensuring that the lights are not left on unnecessarily.
Outdoor arena and round pen
The arena and round pen are used for:
- Horseback riding;
- Driving;
- Groundwork;
- Lessons.
The arena can accommodate more than one horse at a time for any of the above activities.
If you turn your horse loose in either of these spaces, anyone arriving to practise one of the activities listed above has priority. You must vacate the space.
Turnout pen
This pen is reserved exclusively for turning horses loose. When more than one person wishes to use it, each horse may stay for a maximum of 30 minutes. If no one else is waiting, there is no time limit.
Stable aisles
Aisles are used for:
- Caring for your horse;
- Preparing your horse for equestrian activities;
- Farrier or veterinary visits;
- Temporarily keeping a horse in the aisle while its stall is being cleaned.
The aisles are available to all boarders, whether their horses are boarded indoors or outdoors. Cross-ties are not assigned to anyone; they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. When using the aisles, please remove your belongings when you are finished, even if you plan to return shortly.
Each aisle has a broom, shovel, pitchfork, and garbage bin. Only manure and shavings can go into the conveyor. All other waste must go in the garbage bin. Every bin has a liner. If the bag is full, please tie it closed, remove it, and replace it with a new one. Spare bags are kept at the bottom of the bin, beneath the current bag. If there are none, notify a staff member.
Allocation of rented spaces
Stalls, outdoor pens, and lockers are assigned exclusively by the administration. Only managers* are authorized to make decisions about the spaces you rent. If a change is needed, a manager* will contact you.
Clubhouse
The clubhouse is open to everyone. It offers a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, washroom, and a space to relax and eat. Please clean up and put away anything you use.
Garbage disposal
A garbage container is located northwest of the stable, to the left of the bedding storage area. All garbage bins in the stable have liners. Waste must be bagged before being placed in the container, as required by the City of Québec.
Parking
The parking area is northwest of the round pen, to its left when viewed from Jean-Gauvin Road. Only authorized vehicles may park in front of or beside the stable.
Equine preventive medicine
To provide a safe environment for all horses, certain preventive measures are mandatory.

Isolation or quarantine
When a horse must be isolated or quarantined, the administration determines where it will be housed. This location cannot be changed once the isolation or quarantine has begun.
- No contact with other horses.
- Hand-walking only, unless otherwise directed by the attending veterinarian.
- No training, ridden work, or driving, including in the arena or round pen.
- The attending veterinarian may require the horse to remain strictly confined to its stall.
Communications
You may contact a manager at Écurie Bel-Air at any time. Calls and messages received between 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. on weekdays, or on weekends and statutory holidays, are screened and handled according to urgency. We will respond no later than the next business day.

Dogs
All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times on the stable grounds.
Social media
We encourage you to join the Écurie Bel-Air Facebook group. Managers use the group to share information relevant to boarders. Boarders may also post general messages and photos, for example to organize an afternoon bonfire, plan a trail ride, invite others to a 5-to-7 gathering in the clubhouse, or arrange a social evening.
